Which reclaimed wood boards should you choose?
The term reclaimed wood boards covers different materials. Sawn timber from the centre of an old beam has a different surface from an original hand-hewn beam face or a naturally weathered board. The choice starts with the visible character you want and the dimensions and preparation your design requires.
KnezHolz is a reclaimed wood supplier based in Ebbs, Tyrol, Austria. We help you compare the actual board ranges for furniture and interior projects. Photographs show the material character; stock, final dimensions and processing are confirmed in an individual quotation.

Original face or sawn timber: decide before processing
If the old axe marks or weathered colour are central to the design, tell us which face must remain visible. With sawn timber, the choice centres on grain, thickness and further preparation. Planing, edging or brushing changes the dimensions or appearance of a board, so the requested finish and final measurements should be agreed together.
For wall cladding, the board selection is only one part of the specification. Our separate cladding guide covers surface options, installation requirements and panel alternatives. Plan reclaimed wood wall cladding →
What determines the price of reclaimed wood boards?
An individual quotation depends on the board range, timber species, dimensions, surface selection, processing and quantity. Transport also depends on board length, volume and destination. A square-metre price for prepared cladding cannot be compared directly with an offer for raw sawn timber of a different thickness. State the material and finish as well as the quantity so the quotation reflects your actual project.
